AskAdmin

AskAdmin allows you to manage a list of applications and block access to the applications on said list. So if you have a young child and you don’t want him to launch the Firefox web browser, you can put Firefox on the list and select the Block function. When your child tries to run Firefox, AskAdmin will not allow this to happen.

AskAdmin does not have to be installed. You see, the application is portable. So to get started with AskAdmin you need only download an archive, extract its contents, and run the AskAdmin executable.

The main panel on the application’s interface displays a list of applications. You can add applications to the list by using the Add File function or by simply dragging and dropping them on the interface.
Above this main panel there’s a traditional File Menu and a toolbar with buttons for several functions: remove items from the list, save the list, register, and so on.

Any application that is added to the AskAdmin list is automatically blocked. Right click an entry on the list and you will be presented with a menu that, among other things, allows you to unblock access to a single application or to all applications. Alternatively, you can uncheck the box next to an application’s name to unblock it. Either way, you can easily unblock access to applications.

Access to AskAdmin can be password protected. But mind you, this function is available only if you register your copy.

Don’t let you child run any application he wants. Use AskAdmin and restrict access to software. Use AskAdmin to block access to applications.
